Phase II
The Next six months will focus on the above as well as training and hiring neighborhood workers in construction/property rehabbing and landscaping projects (covering various aspects of construction work and carpentry, including painting, electrical wiring, plumbing, dry-walling, bricklaying, tuck-pointing, blueprint reading, and State of Illinois and Federal OSHA safety regulations); also as forklift operators, CDL truck drivers, store clerks, maintenance personnel, security guards, fast-foods cook, board-up and moving workers, and livery drivers; as well as the enrollment and graduation of 75 persons within 12 months in computer literacy and for-profit Small Minority Business start-ups. Federal Tax Credits and local incentives to these businesses, including incentives (between 2011 and the end of 2013) are available to Zip Code solar panels, utility generators, furniture, as well other essential equipment for upgrading and maintaining the property or business.
