The Share Account
At Midwest Family Federal Credit Union, you BELONG. You are not a customer, client, or consumer. You are a MEMBER. In fact, you are PART OWNER of the credit union. The Family exists for you and by you.
How? Good question. When you decide to bank at Midwest Family Federal Credit Union, you buy a single share of the company for $5.00. The share is deposited into your share account, or savings account. There is virtually no risk of losing any portion of your $5.00 share and you will get the full amount back if and when you decide to close your account. However, your share account must have a minimum balance of $5.00 in order to remain a member.
Can you add money to your share account? Please do! This account works just like a regular, old-fashioned savings account. You can deposit and withdraw money as often as you like with no penalties or fees. The only exception is that you must keep your original share amount of $5.00 in this account.
Make money while you save! The balance in your share account will earn dividends paid quarterly. Check out our Savings rates now for the current annual percentage rates and yields.
Your buck starts here. Once you open a share account and deposit your $5.00 share, you earn full membership rights and may now take advantage of all the products and services available exclusively to our members.
Your money is safe and secure. Funds on deposit at Midwest Family Federal Credit Union are federally insured by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) up to $250,000.
