Scholarships
Next Generation
The Next Generation Scholarship consists of two $500 scholarship awarded annually to two high school seniors chosen by REGIONAL. Entrants must be attending college or a trade school after graduation, and must submit a short essay on a topic chosen by the credit union. Portage High School
REGIONAL awards a single $500 scholarship each year to a senior at Portage High School. The winner is chosen by the school's guidance counselor. Applicants must maintain a 3.0 GPA, demonstrate financial need, and be attending college in the field of business or education.
Irving Elementary School
REGIONAL sponsors the Student of the Year award at Irving Elementary School. This is a $100 award given to a student selected by the school's principal.
R.E.A.D. Grants
The R.E.A.D. Grant is a program offered through the Hammond Education Foundation. This is a $1,000 grant used to fund classroom financial literacy projects that could not otherwise be funded through normal school budgets. School City of Hammond educators must apply through the Hammond Education Foundation.
